The Laboratory of Psycholinguistics and Neurolinguistics investigates how the human mind and brain represent and process language and how language interacts with other cognitive systems. Our research is interdisciplinary and spans various areas and topics in the language sciences. Areas of interest include language development, developmental and acquired language disorders, second language acquisition and bilingualism, sentence processing in typical adults, as well as the relation between language and other cognitive systems, such as memory and music. We design and employ behavioral measures as well as eye tracking experiments to uncover the mechanisms that enable humans to produce and understand language and to process it in real time.
