The laboratory examines the evolution of Greek writing, the chronology, the scribes and the history of the manuscript codes of late antiquity, the Byzantine and post-Byzantine periods, manuscripts as physical objects, the manuscript tradition, the methods of criticism and editing of texts and their application to the literary and popular literature.
