Research Interests: Attic drama (Aeschylus, Euripides), literature of late antiquity and especially the correspondence of the Second Sophistic period, the position of women in the ancient world, family relations and the evolution of legal institutions in the Greco-Roman world, the social and economic history of the Roman world, Greek papyri (mainly documents of the Roman, Byzantine and early Arabic periods).
