The Laboratory of Modern Greek Philology was founded by the Department of Modern Greek Philology at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2016 (Government Gazette issue 4274/30–12–2016 v. B). Its educational and research activities at undergaduate and postgraduate levels cover the following fields: Modern Greek Philology, Comparative literature and Theory of Literature.
The objectives of the Lab of Modern Greek Philology include the following:
“The presence of cinema in Greek literary magazines in the second half of the twentieth century (1949-2009)”.
The research program “The presence of cinema in Greek literary magazines in the second half of the twentieth century (1949-2009)” was funded by ESPA Action: “Reinforcement of Postdoctoral Researchers - 2nd Cycle” (ESPA 2014-2020) and was implemented between April 2020 to October 2021.
The aim of the project was to systematically collect and classify the textual material deriving from 12 post-war and post-junta Greek journals. More particularly, it has been created a digital database in order to make the annotated bibliographic entries more accessible to the research community and society.
For more information about the existing database and the research activities of the program see here.
